Millward Brown’s annual BrandZ Global Valuation study identifies the value and economic significance of domestic brands. The study is narrowed down to 100 global brands that are determined worthy of making the list based on an evaluation of business conduct, an analysis of financial performance and interviews with over one million consumers. Of the top 100 most valuable global brands, only ten of them were auto brands, and at the top of the list was Toyota. Toyota has occupied the top spot as the world’s most valuable car brand for five of the six year the BrandZ study has been conducted. After relinquishing the coveted title to BMW last year, Toyota has regained its most valuable car brand status.

Toyota’s brand value jumped 11% to .2 billion thanks to vehicles like the popular Toyota Highlander. The crossover was introduced at your Palm Beach Gardens Toyota dealer over a decade ago and was greeted by consumers with seemingly limitless prosperity. For the 2011 model year, the Highlander received a refreshed exterior, slight interior tweaks and a good amount of additional standard features. Only the hybrid version received any mechanical upgrades which include a 3.5-liter V6 engine that replaced its predecessor’s 3.3-liter engine. Otherwise, many of the Highlander’s features were left untouched, including its affordable price tag, carlike maneuverability and versatile interior.

The current Highlander arrived at your Toyota North Palm Beach dealer in its second generation boasting a stunning exterior design that has been praised by consumers. The car’s sculpted lines and wide stance are among the features that distinguish it from others in its class. A restyled front bumper hosts a chrome grille that gives the Highlander’s aggressive stance an elegant appeal. Sleek contours and chrome accents on the side of the car continue to give the car an upscale appearance while black rocker panels and 17-inch alloy wheels create a sporty profile. Silver roof rails and body-colored door handles contribute to the Highlander’s sporty, yet lavish, appearance.

With its long list of standard features and richly appointed cabin, the inside of the Highlander feels more like that of one of Toyota’s luxury division, Lexus. The uncomplicated layout of the controls and gauges allow for instinctive operation while high-set seats make for excellent visibility. Blue illuminated gauges create a sporty ambience while the two-toned faux wood gives the cabin a luxurious allure. A tilt and telescoping steering wheel features black and chrome accent and cruise control and audio controls which create an upscale appeal. New for the 2011 model is a third row of seats which comes standard at your Palm Beach Gardens Toyota dealer. Standard features and available options are plentiful and include remote keyless entry, power windows and doors, a rear-seat DVD entertainment system and a voice-activated navigation system.

Power and performance remain the same for the 2011 Highlander which is endowed with a 2.7-liter inline four that delivers 187 horsepower. Despite the large size of the Highlander and it’s more than adequate output, the car manages to deliver impressive fuel economy ratings of 20 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway. Offering what could easily be deemed the most attractive exterior of any car in its class, a refreshingly functional interior and a combination of power and efficiency, the Highlander leaves little to be desired. Given that all Toyota models deliver the same desired features of the Highlander, it’s easy to see why Toyota has been named the world’s most valuable car brand for five of the six years in the BrandZ Global Valuation study.
